Diteli Electric Provides 110kV Main Transformer for Moldova Substation Upgrade

Project Background
To replace aging core equipment at an existing substation in Moldova, the national grid operator selected Diteli Electric to supply a brand-new 110kV main transformer. The original unit had been in service for decades, with declining efficiency and increasing losses, making it insufficient for the grid’s growing load requirements.
Our Solution
Diteli Electric supplied a low-loss, low-noise, environmentally friendly 110kV main transformer, engineered to improve efficiency and significantly reduce long-term operational costs.
To address the challenge of limited available space, the transformer was designed with a compact structural configuration, ensuring seamless installation within the existing civil foundation and minimizing site modification work.
Technical Highlights
-
Energy-efficient low-loss core design, reducing long-term operating expenses
-
Low noise performance meeting environmental requirements
-
Compact footprint suitable for renovation of older substations
-
High-reliability insulation and cooling system for stable long-term operation
Project Outcome
After being successfully commissioned and connected to the grid, the transformer significantly improved the station’s power delivery capability and operational reliability. This upgrade marked a major step in the modernization of Moldova’s national grid infrastructure.
